It's hard to believe that we are having this amazing experience. Driving through the streets of Katmandu is an experience like no other. Cows roaming about, cars honking and doing a sort of traffic ballet that seems to work well for everyone.
I'm not sure how they do it! Beautiful people who have learned to live with what they have and are very peaceful, content and happy with their lives.  As Americans, it is so hard to imagine a life this simple, with so little. You are tempted to feel pity for them and then you realize that they have learned to live within their means- and they value people much more than 'things'. We could learn a lot from them. They are perfectly content what they have. It really puts things in perspective when the KFC is such an elite restaurant that they has armed guards to let you in!
Driving through the Himalayas, playing soccer with monks, waking up to the sounds of cuckoo birds and roosters. We are so fortunate to have this opportunity and your kids are awesome!!

  1. Cant wait to see what Pokhara is like! Hope you all are having fun and capturing the essence of the experience. We all missed you on Father's Day but know you are soaking up the exposure to life outside the US
